New "Test To Stay" Program for Unvaccinated Children

Monroe County health officials have announced a program that could allow kids exposed to COVID-19 to stay in school.

Currently, unvaccinated students who are in close contact with someone who tests positive must stay home from school, even if they don't have symptoms.

Under the so-called "Test to Stay" program, those students can remain in school, so long as they test negative every day.

Vaccinated students won't have to be tested if they don't show any signs of illness.
