Man Arrested in Son's Shooting Death

A Rochester man will remain held without bail on charges he shot and killed his son -- and wounded a second man -- Saturday on Pioneer Street in the 19th Ward.

Sixty-four-year-old Steven Owens was arrested around 6 last night at a home on the southwest side.

He is charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of 34-year-old Malcolm Owens -- a former Rochester resident who was visiting family here. He lived with his wife and children in Virginia.

Police have not released the name of the man who was wounded -- who also was visiting from out of state.
