Police have announced no arrests, so far, in the two downtown homicides yesterday that took three lives.
A man in his 20s was shot and beaten in the middle of the street yesterday near the RTS Transit Center on St. Paul Street.
He died at the hospital.
Early yesterday morning, two men were shot to death inside an apartment building on Chestnut Street.
Police have not released the names of the victims.
There have been 71 homicide victims in the city this year. That is a record for a single year.
