Rochester Police are Concerned About the Increase in Youth Violence.

Rochester Police are concerned about the increase in youth violence.

Five teens were wounded in two shootings Tuesday night

Captain Frank Umbrino says the two drive-by-shootings Tuesday night occurred about 45 minutes apart but it's still too early to know if they were connected.

Data released by the RPD shows 60 people 18-and-under have been shot this year, the highest number in the last decade, with the 10-year-average being 20 per year.

The RPD says the most homicides in a single year in Rochester history is 69, thus far, there have been 68 homicides in 2021.
