Former Greece Police Chief Charged With DWI

Former Greece Police Chief Drew Forsythe will be charged with misdemeanor DWI and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.

He crashed his town-issued SUV in the early morning of October 21st, and resigned a few days later.

Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley is also calling for an independent agency to handle cases involving officers.

Doorley also says there's enough evidence to prove Forsythe was intoxicated, without having a breathalyzer test.

Meanwhile, town supervisor Bill Reilich announced 3 officer suspensions, and that more discipline is pending.

Former RPD Deputy Chief of Operations Joe Morabito has been brought in to help with the department probe.
