Voters today will be deciding five statewide ballot questions, choosing two judges for the state supreme court, and deciding races for county and local offices.
In Monroe County, control of the county legislature is up for grabs. Republicans hold a one-seat majority, and most of the Democratic Party allies who voted recently with Republicans aren't on the ballot now.
Some races are expected to be close and may hinge on absentee ballots that won't be counted until later this month.
Polling places will be open until 9 p.m.
