State Attorney General Letitia James is set to announce she's running for governor.
Several media outlets report she'll challenge incumbent Governor Kathy Hochul next year in the Democratic primary.
The New York Post says James plans on announcing her campaign "shortly."
Meantime, New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams is a step closer to entering the race, too. State records show Williams filed paperwork to create a campaign committee to run for governor.
