The man suspected in Rochester's latest homicide will make his initial court appearance this morning.
Thirty-six-year-old Nicholas DeLeon was arrested yesterday after a chase and a shootout with police.
Officers looking for him yesterday spotted him in the passenger seat of a car near Hollenbeck Street and Avenue D.
The woman who was driving took off. During the chase, police say DeLeon fired at police, and police returned fire. No one was hurt.
The driver is a family member and has not been charged.
DeLeon is accused of shooting and killing 19-year old Christian Santiago on Lamont Place on Wednesday. Police say DeLeon dated Santiago's mother.
DeLeon was also wanted on outstanding warrants for Menacing, Criminal Mischief, and Aggravated Harassment.
