Injunction Granted for Healthcare Vaccine Mandate Religious Exemptions

A federal judge has ruled health care workers can continue to get religious exemptions to Governor Hochul's COVID vaccine mandate.

The judge in Utica granted an injunction, and ruled the state cannot retaliate against health care workers who refuse -- for religious reasons -- to get a COVID shot.

The same judge granted a temporary restraining order last month.

Seventeen health care workers sued the state, claiming the mandate violated their constitutional rights to religious freedom.
