The Vaccine Mandate Deadline For Health Care Workers Is Today

Today is the deadline for all health care workers in New York State to be vaccinated and Governor Kathy Hochul is preparing to declare a state of emergency.

Hochul said the declaration will allow healthcare workers not licensed in New York to fill in for in-state healthcare workers who are likely to be fired for not being vaccinated.

She's also considering employing the National Guard to help out.

Hochul is urging all healthcare workers who aren't vaccinated "to do so now so they can continue providing care."
