Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce CEO Bob Duffy says President Biden is putting responsibility for people getting the COVID vaccine on business...when it should be on the individual to either get the vaccine or wear a mask.
In a ZOOM conference Friday, Duffy said any talk of vaccine mandates should be up to individual companies which have the right to impose them. But he said it should not be up to government to mandate them, and possibly force businesses into undergoing more COVID-related costs than they've already borne.
Duffy said he's been vaccinated and will line up for the booster shot when it's available...but that was his choice. He says it should be the individual's decision to vaccinate or not, and businesses shouldn't have to pay for regular COVID testing of employees who don't chose to get the shot.
