Hochul Launching VAX to School Program to Get Kids Vaccinated

Governor Kathy Hochul is launching a drive to get all eligible young people vaccinated against COVID-19.

The state initially focused on the most vulnerable citizens, but she says children and teenagers can still spread the virus, and everyone over 12 needs to be vaccinated to keep families, friends, and communities safe...

Hochul says pop-up vaccination sites will open at schools in areas where the zip code data shows the vaccination rate for 12-to-17-year-olds is lower than the state average.

The VAX to School program is launching a website and an Instagram account "@vaccinateny" which is designed to answer questions from parents and guardians who may be hesitant to get their children vaccinated.
