Tyquan Rivera, who served time for shooting Rochester Police Officer Anthony DiPonzio when he was just 14-years-old, has agreed to plea guilty to the charge of criminal sale of fentanyl. The sentence agreement would send him to state prison for 15 years.
Rivera was paroled in 2016 and was picked up again 10 months later on a parole violation. He was released from custody in February 2019 after he reached the maximum amount of time he could serve behind bars.
Rivera with was charged with six counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, five counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, and one count of conspiracy in the fourth degree for allegedly selling Fentanyl to undercover police officers.
