UPDATE: Rochester police have released the name of the city's latest homicide victim -- the 49th this year.
Twenty-eight-year-old city resident Jamen Balkum was hanging out with other men on Harris Street, near Avenue D when he was shot.
Police say he was approached by one or more people yesterday afternoon and was shot several times.
He died at the hospital.
No one is in custody.

Investigators say a 28-year-old man was shot Monday afternoon on Harris Street, near Avenue D.
He died later at the hospital. Police have not released the victim's name.
This is the city's 49th homicide victim this year.
No one has been arrested.
