A Toronto man is attempting a new first on Lake Ontario.
Mike Shoreman is hoping to become the first person with a physical disability to travel from one country to another on a paddleboard.
He left Ontario Beach Park in Charlotte yesterday and expects it will take about three days to cross the lake to Toronto.
Shoreman is a professional paddleboard coach but was diagnosed with three years ago Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, which causes him to lose his balance.
His journey also is a fundraiser for a foundation aimed at ending youth bullying.
