Granison Denied Ability to Testify Before Grand Jury

A judge has denied a defense request to quash a grand jury's indictment against Timothy Gransion, the estranged husband of Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren.

The judge refused a request to send the case back to the grand jury.

Defense Attorney John DiMarco says Granison wanted to testify before that grand jury but was not given the chance...

DiMarco says the notice was sent to Gransion by snail mail...but arrived after it was too late.

The judge ruled it was DiMarco's job to take care of his client's paperwork.

Prosecutors leveled gun and child endangerment charges against Granison, and Mayor Warren.

Granison also was arrested this spring with more than an ounce of cocaine as part of a federal investigation into a local drug ring.
