Assembly Committee Moves Forward on Cuomo Impeachment Probe

The state Attorney General's report last week on the sexual harassment allegations against the governor is being folded into the ongoing impeachment inquiry by the state Assembly Judiciary Committee.

Chair Charles Lavine calls the findings of the report "deeply disturbing".

The Committee met this morning in private to get an update from its outside counsel on the progress of the investigation, and the process going forward.

In addition to the sexual harassment claims, the panel is looking at the governor's handling of COVID deaths at nursing homes and the possible use of state resources to write his book.

Lavine insists the governor will be treated fairly.
