Former State Supreme Court Justice Matthew Rosenbaum is facing a criminal investigation.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says it was notified about possible criminal conduct this spring and initiated the investigation.
Authorities aren't saying if it is connected to the allegations disclosed in a lawsuit last week by Rosenbaum's former secretary.
She alleged she was raped once and was forced to perform oral sex numerous times over several years.
Rosenbaum resigned from the bench this past winter, soon after being elected to a new term.
