Call for Monroe Co. Ethics Reform Bill to be Tabled

It's back to the drawing board for ethics reform in Monroe County government.

County legislator Vince Felder has asked for his own bill to be tabled, and is asking President Joe Carbone to convene a bipartisan committee to update ethics laws.

Felder was one of several Democrats who became allies of the Republican majority in the legislature -- but he was defeated recently in a Democratic primary in his bid for another term.

Felder says Democrats are playing politics with the legislation, but Democrats objected to provisions in his bill blocking the public release of the ethics board's reports.
