RCSD And RTA Have A New Contract

Rochester Teachers and the City School District have a new contract through the 2021-2022 school year. It's an extension of their current collective bargaining agreement, and it was worked out through negotiations with the Public Employee Relations Board.

It gives teachers a raise of just over four percent, 3.3 percent for this year, and an additional one percent on top of last year's salaries. There's also increased compensation for athletic coaches.

The City School District and the Rochester Teachers Association will be back in negotiations this fall on a full successor agreement.
