NY Thruway Authority Standing By Decision To Bring In Chick-Fil-A

The New York State Thruway Authority is standing by plans to bring Chick-fil-A restaurants to the Thruway Service areas.

The Authority says Chick-fil-A and all the restaurants that will open at the buildings must abide by "inclusive and non-discriminatory standards."

Several gay lawmakers -- including state Assemblyman Harry Bronson -- want the Authority to reconsider. They say Chick-Fil-A's owners have donated to organizations that are "hostile" to LGTBQ rights.
