Three people went to the hospital after four cars piled up at the corner of Chili Avenue and Thurston Road yesterday evening.
Rochester police say a driver sideswiped two cars he was trying to pass, ran a red light and was rammed by another car in the intersection. His car also smashed into a fourth car in the intersection.
The driver tried to run away, but a crowd gathered and beat him unconscious before police could get there. He's at Strong Memorial Hospital, along with a man and a woman from the other cars. Charges have not yet been filed.
