Senators Schumer and Gillibrand are pushing legislation that they say will help fill in what's left of the Inner Loop and create jobs.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer says the two bills unveiled in the Senate would help Rochester reverse the damage.
He says those pending bills will reconnect nearby neighborhoods and help create lots of good-paying jobs.
The Senators aren't sure how much money will be needed for the project yet.
Schumer believes it will be much more than the 16-and-a-half million that was needed to fill in the eastside of the Inner Loop.
