Drone Light Show and Fireworks Planned for Rochester's Fourth of July

Rochester is planning a two-part celebration in the sky for Independence Day.

City Hall has arranged a drone light show at High Falls and a fireworks display downtown, back-to-back, on Sunday night.

The drone light show is billed as the first of its kind for our area. It's set for 10 p.m. Sunday night and will feature 200 drones making aerial designs. It's a presentation of Detroit company Firefly.

Then at 10:15, the fireworks will begin from the eastern side of the Genesee Riverway Trail, south of the Frederick Douglass-Susan B. Anthony Bridge.

Free parking will be available at the Court Street, South Avenue, Sister Cities, High Falls and Washington Square garages.
