A Chemung County man is accused of kidnapping a child and leading authorities on a high-speed chase.
35-year-old Richard Somers allegedly took the child just after noon yesterday
He then allegedly took off after he was originally stopped in Watkins Glen, at speeds over a hundred miles per hour.
Deputies using stop sticks eventually brought the chase to an end on Route 14 in Yates County.
The child suffered minor injuries. Somers is facing numerous charges.
