NYS Capitol Reopens to the Public

For the first time in months, the State Capitol and legislative office buildings in Albany will be open to the public today.

Governor Cuomo says it's safe for people to be inside again, since the state has reached a 70-percent COVID-19 vaccination rate among adults.

Free tours of the Capitol are scheduled to resume this coming Monday.

Unvaccinated people are asked to wear a mask, but it's not clear if anyone will have to prove their immunization status.
