Sheriff's deputies in Yates County are investigating a crash north of Penn Yan that killed a woman riding in a horse-drawn buggy.
It happened yesterday afternoon on Route 364 near Voak Road.
Deputies say the buggy was hit by a vehicle driven by Robert Clark, of Dundee.
The crash killed 67-year-old Ada Horning of Penn Yan. A man with her, Mahlon Horning, was hospitalized and the horse had to be put down.
Clark's passenger had minor injuries.
Clark received two traffic tickets and more charges are possible.
