If you have a good view of the eastern horizon at sunrise on Thursday -- and if the weather is clear -- you can get a look at a partial solar eclipse.
You'll need to dig out the special solar viewing glasses you used for the summer eclipse four years ago.
Or you can buy a pair at the Rochester Museum and Science Center gift shop.
When the Sun rises at 5:31am, it will appear as a crescent because most of the Sun will be hidden by the new moon. The eclipse will reach maximum seven minutes later -- when 78 percent of the Sun will be hidden. The eclipse will wind down over the next hour.
The museum will have viewing equipment and experts at Hamlin Beach State Park, Parking Area 4 at at Martin Road Park in Henrietta
