Cancer has claimed the life of longtime area business advocate Sandy Parker.
Parker headed the Rochester Business Alliance for a decade, ending in 2015. And she founded its related lobbying group, Unshackle Upstate.
Chamber of Commerce head Bob Duffy calls Parker an "trailblazer" who contributed to countless philanthropic and economic development initiatives.
And he says, "Her loss is immeasurable as were her contributions to the community she loved.”
Mayor Lovely Warren called Parker "a warrior and champion for employers in Greater Rochester."
