First responders searched without success yesterday evening for a person who disappeared in Lake Ontario, about a quarter mile north of the Irondequoit Bay Outlet. The person went into the water from a boat and did not resurface. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office, Coast Guard, New York State Police helicopter and multiple fire departments joined in a search, but so far have not located the missing person.
