Rochester Police Release Body Camera Footage of Glasser St. Shooting

Early Saturday morning, Rochester police released body camera footage of the early Friday morning police-involved shooting on Glasser St. It shows officers approaching a car and reacting when they open the door and find the rear-seat passenger has a gun. Shouts of "gun...gun!" are heard, followed by gunfire that killed the man. Glass from shattered windows falls to the street as the firing continues. At least nine shots were fired.

Two officers are on administrative leave.

Loved ones gathered in a vigil on Glasser St last night. Police have not yet released the dead man's name, but family members who spoke with local media identified him as Mark Gaskill.

During a Friday afternoon news conference, Rochester Police Chief Cynthia Herriott-Sullivan says it's not clear if any shots were fired by the back seat passenger and how many shots were fired in all. She says all that remains under investigation.
