Rochester Man Arrested At Canadian Border

A Rochester man was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm after he tried to cross from Canada into the U.S. at the Peace Bridge in Buffalo.

Federal prosecutors say 27-year-old Christopher Kendrick was spotted by Customs and Border Protection Officers driving in an erratic manner at the border crossing, and they also smelled marijuana inside his car.

A search turned up a semi-automatic pistol, and a records check showed Kendrick was convicted of robbery in Monroe County ten years ago, and was legally barred from owning a weapon.
