The Monroe County Legislature has approved a resolution calling for stepped up action to prevent homeless people from camping in the Civic Center parking garage.
The measure also calls for the county to use pandemic emergency funds to find other accommodations for the homeless.
The vote was 17 to 11.
Supporters say homeless people have cluttered the garage with trash and waste, and have harassed downtown workers who park there.
