Netflix Movie Inspired by Brighton Murder

A New Netflix horror film “Things Heard & Seen,” was partly inspired by the 1982 axe murder of Cathleen Krauseneck in Brighton.

Her husband, James Krauseneck, was one of the main suspects, yet appeared to have an alibi.

He had been at work before he found the body, and the case went unsolved for 37 years

Brighton police were able to use improved technology to finally indict Krasuseneck in 2019, on a second-degree murder charge.

He pleaded not guilty.

The Netflix movie is based on Elizabeth Brundage’s novel “All Things Cease To Appear.”
