All State Judges to be Back in Court by May 24

All New York State judges and their staffs are expected to be back to working at their assigned courthouses in less than three weeks.

Chief Judge Janet DiFiore said the court system is incrementally returning to work, with staffing levels at 80 percent in courts outside New York City and 75 percent in the city.

Staffing should be back at 100 percent on May 24.

All courts will continue to enforce Covid safety measures and use virtual courts when in-person appearances are not needed.
