Cuomo: Most COVID Restrictions to End May 19th

Governor Cuomo says the state is taking a major step toward fully re-open on May 19th.

The governor says on that day, most capacity restrictions will be lifted in the Tri-state area.

That means restaurants, gyms, and hair salons can be open at full capacity, but the Governor says the 6-foot social distancing guideline must still be enforced unless those businesses and services want to require people to be fully vaccinated or show a recent negative COVID test.

Businesses can also get around the 6-foot rule if physical barriers are put up.
