New York is adopting the latest CDC guidelines regarding mask usage when outdoors.
Governor Cuomo says this means fully vaccinated people can lose the mask when at moderately-sized or smaller outdoor gatherings.
His announcement came about one hour after the CDC updated its guidelines.
Officials still recommend masks for crowded gatherings of any kind, and when indoors.
