Gates Police Arrest One, Looking For Second Suspect in Attempted Carjacking

Gates Police say they are looking for a second suspect in connection with their investigation into the killing of Richard Sciascia during an attempted carjacking in Gates.

16-year-old Edgar Tolentino was arrested yesterday and charged with second degree murder. He's accused of shooting Sciascia April 7th on Buell Road.

Tolentino was arraigned in youth court and is being held without bail. His preliminary hearing next Wednesday.

Police say Sciascia's killing was part of a string of carjacking's across the Rochester area.

A task force of some 30 officers continues to work on those cases.

Police say there have not been any further carjacking’s in the suburbs since April 7th.
