The Republican Party chairs in the Greater Rochester counties are among those endorsing the candidacy of Long Island Congressman Lee Zeldin for governor.
Zeldin has already lined up endorsments from more than a dozen county chairs across the state -- and appears to be the front-runner for the state party's full support next year.
He was one of several potential candidates who met with party leaders on Monday.
And Zeldin's campaign has reported raising $2.5 million in the first ten days since he announced his candidacy.
