New York State Police are identifying the parolee who was shot by authorities inside a home on Fairbanks Street in Rochester last week.
State Police say 37-year-old Joshua Bennett grabbed a butcher knife then held a woman at knifepoint inside the home Friday, before advancing at police.
That’s when a Trooper shot him in the shoulder.
Bennett was wanted for an outstanding warrant, and is being held in custody at Strong Hospital.
