Rochester City Council to Vote on Firing City's Top Lawyer Tim Curtin

The Rochester City Council meets this evening, and the agenda includes a formal vote on a resolution calling for the firing of the top lawyer at City Hall -- Tim Curtin.

All nine council members have already endorsed the resolution, which is non-binding.

The resolution says the investigation of the City's handling of the Daniel Prude case showed Curtin made untruthful statements and gave advice to the mayor that was not legally sound.

Curtin was suspended for a month last fall, but the resolution says that discipline did not go far enough.
