The House Ethics Committee says it has launched an investigation into the allegations of sexual misconduct against Congressman Tom Reed.
Last month, an article in "The Washington Post" was published detailing the allegation from former insurance company lobbyist Nicolette Davis. She said that Reed touched her inappropriately while he was drunk at a pub in 2017.
Days later Reed put out a statement, apologizing to Davis and announced that he would not run for re-election.
He also said he was struggling with alcohol at the time, but noted he has been sober for nearly four years.
