The Rochester City School District is considering changes to school assignments.
One option could be scrapping the current three zone system, and either adopting a neighborhood school system or switching to an east-west zone model.
District officials say the declining enrollments no longer justify the current assignments.
The district is taking public comments this week and will make recommendations to the school board this spring.
