Federal prosecutors say a Rochester man who thought he was arranging to have sex with a 10-year-old boy has been sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison.
They say 25-year-old Michael Stutes was actually trading text messages with an undercover FBI agent, pretending to be the supposed child's father.
Stutes offered to pay for sex with the underage boy, and was arrested when he went to the appointment he set up in Brighton.
Stutes was also found to have received and distributed child porn images and videos.
At the time of his arrest, Stutes was a teachers' aide at a local childcare facility.
