An Allegany County man is facing rape and sexual abuse charges for allegedly abusing children in Livingston County over many years.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office says they have charged 75-year-old Frank Wright with several counts of rape and sexual abuse for abusing three children, between the ages of four and 12.
The alleged abuse happened between 1987 and 1998, in Avon and the Town of Springwater.
Captain Mike Williams, Commander of the Criminal Investigations Division, tells WHAM1180's Bob Lonsberry, Wright's victims were known to him.
The sheriff’s office says it also learned of additional victims of Wright's, dating back over 60 years.
Sheriff’s investigators say during the course of the investigation, they interviewed victims in New York State and also traveled to meet with others outside of the state.
This investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are expected.
