State Expands Nursing Home Visitation

New York State is changing its nursing home visitation rules to line up with the guidelines recently released by the federal government.

The new guidelines allow visits of nursing home patients at all times and for all residents, except for unvaccinated residents in areas of high community spread of COVID-19.

Residents with confirmed COVID infections or currently in quarantine also may not be visited.

Governor Cuomo says the data now shows it's the appropriate time to safely reconnect nursing home residents with their families.
