Parents of Accused Teen Murderers Charged With Child Endangerment

The parents of the boys charged with killing a man by setting him on fire have made a court appearance on child endangerment charges.

Adriel Riley Sr. and Lekeya Lee were charged by Gates police because they did not about their children's whereabouts when they were arrested in a stolen car in January.

Riley is the father of 14-year-old Adriel Riley Jr., and Lee is the mother of 16-year-old Jayvon Perry.

The parents pleaded not guilty to endangering the welfare of a child and are due back in Town Court in June.

The boys are charged with second-degree murder for setting Steven Amenhauser on fire March 12 at an apartment on Lyell Avenue.
