Rochester City Council Calls For Officer Discipline in Daniel Prude Case

The Rochester City Council has passed a non-binding resolution calling for discipline for the officers involved in the Daniel Prude case.

The resolution says that discipline could include firing.

Councilman Jose Peo was the only councilmember who did not vote in favor of the resolution.

He has argued that discipline would likely result in an expensive lawsuit the city could lose.

The officers have been on administrative leave since Prude's death in March was made public in September.

A grand jury did not indict the officers, but Prude's family is suing for wrongful death.
