A federal court has ruled that Dominic Pezzola of Rochester, accused of being part of the mob that stormed the United States Capitol Building, should stay in jail until his trial.
The court upheld an earlier ruling by a federal magistrate, who said there were no circumstances that would reasonably ensure the safety of the community if he were released.
Pezzola is a member of the Proud Boys. He's accused on 11 counts for breaking into the Capitol. He was seen on video using a stolen police riot shield to smash through a window at the Capitol during the insurrection on January 6th.
