Gov. Cuomo: COVID Vaccine Eligibility Expanding

Governor Cuomo is announcing that COVID vaccine eligibility is expanding. Cuomo announced today that eligibility is expanding to New Yorkers aged 60 and over. Appointments will open across the state tomorrow, at 8am.

Governor Cuomo notes that starting next Wednesday all sites across the state can vaccinate people 60-and-up. Pharmacies will still only vaccinate teachers and people over 60, so that other sites can potentially focus on essential workers, and people with pre-existing medical conditions.

And starting next Wednesday, all public-facing public employees and essential public workers will become eligible to receive the vaccine.
